Revocable Living Trust
A revocable living trust is a legal document in which your assets are put into a trust, used for your benefit during your lifetime and then transferred to your beneficiaries after your death.  This is very much like a will but one key difference is that probate court is avoided with a revocable living trust.  Generally, you would name yourself as the trustee of your trust to  manage and control your assets during your lifetime.  You will also name a successor trustee that will take over to manage and control of the trust after your death.  We always include a pour-over will with your revocable living trust.  A pour-over will allows any assets that you owned at death that were not transferred into the trust to be included.
